Natural Stone

Quarried from the earth, natural stone choices include Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Slate, Soapstone, Onyx, and Travertine

GRANITE

Granite is an incredibly popular quarried natural stone that offers some of the largest variety in colors, patterns, and finish choices. Because it is a natural product, each slab can vary widely from the next, so it is extremely important to select your unique slabs in advance and in person before your project begins. When properly sealed, it is one of the strongest materials available.

MARBLE

Marble is a porous natural stone with stunning veining and unique, sophisticated grain patterns. Although it needs to be sealed and is not as strong as granite, it offers a timeless beauty that can be hard to replicate with other materials.

SOAPSTONE

Soapstone is a natural stone with unique properties that make it an excellent natural alternative to granite and marble. Its muted green-grey color palette and honed soft surface make it a favorite in rustic, cottage, and modern designs. Most people fondly remember it as the countertops in their high school chemistry labs! As the name “soapstone” implies, it is soft to the touch and can scratch quite easily, but it is also non-porous and incredibly heat and stain resistant. Although it can be oiled to darken the surface, it never needs to be sealed like other natural stones, making it a low maintenance surface.
